The USGBC Oklahoma Real Estate Committee promotes green building, smart growth and cost-saving operations and maintenance by educating real estate brokers, property managers, appraisers, lenders and other affiliated professionals about the economic, environmental and social benefits of green buildings.
In addition to green building design, construction and operations, the Real Estate Committee also works to influence how neighborhoods and communities are planned and designed. The Committee works with community members, city planners and property developers to encourage key aspects of sustainable neighborhood design, such as walkability, community connectivity, on-site stormwater management strategies, and increased development density, where appropriate.
