 Jamie MacIvor -     jamie@sunrisealternativeenergy.com

I am currently working at Sunrise Alternative Energy, a Solar-Wind-Geothermal-Sustainability company I co-founded three years ago in Edmond, Oklahoma.  I am a native Oklahoman, born in Oklahoma City in 1957. I am a trained Biologist with a B.S. in that field and related minors in Botany and Ornithology.

My graduate work is in Psychology and Behavioral Science. My interest in Green Building caught fire at the age of sixteen while attending classes at Findhorn, Scotland and learning about the evils of formaldehyde in building materials. The fire spread and I moved on to study and teach Field Science, Natural History and low-impact living  in the Oregon High Desert and the San Juan Islands in Washington State. I then relocated to Hawaii in order to conduct a decade of research on native eco-systems for

The National Park Service, The Forest Service and The Fish and Wildlife Service. While my passion for Bio-research has never stopped, my interest in clean and green living  continues to expand. I am open to any process that would help Green Building Codes gain influence and sway in my home town, as I see an increasing need here for the fresh approach.
